Social security, government funded welfare programs have always been a step in the wrong direction. Some say it is for the good of humanity, for those that are broke, poor, whatever can get back on their feet. It is easy to make a premise, does it hold up to be a correct affirmation? In a few cases perhaps it has had a good effect on the beneficiaries. Also there is the other side, the people paying for theses programs. You know who they are. They are called tax payers. That is less money for the people paying these programs. The advocates of welfare say that it is not a grave problem for the people paying it. Alright then, what if it isn't a big problem for the taxpayers? What are the factors that can be examined. Well, the aforementioned article gives a thorough description of that. Let me elaborate partially on the issue as to not take away or add to the aforementioned article.

Ive elaborated before on other articles how the idea of forced confiscation is wrong and unethical but for those that are new let me explain. When you work through a job or another economic endeavor and gain monetary resources( or barter), who is the owner of those resources. You or the government? The government never did part of the work and only takes away from what you earn. The practice is seen among the mafia and petty street gangs. Some say the taxes are good for us all: they help people in poverty, pay for firefighters, police, "public" services, and so forth. Why couldn't any of these services be on the market where people can freely choose them?
Many organizations are dedicated to fight poverty without forced confiscation. Of course these organizations also operate in a free market so they have to weigh in the costs and benefits of their endeavors. With that in mind it is not cost effective to help a person by continuously giving them a check. It would be in the best interest of the organization to give the person a start and teach them how to be successful in life. Through this endeavor it is possible to save money and also to make the beneficiary a productive person. There in fact is a net gain. While the organization spent a little in the beginning to help the person, that person is now more productive and possibly might give back to the organization that helped him. It is better for civilization as a whole to have the most productive people, that way their resources can be spent on other commodities(houses, food, toys, etc.) which will then require more workers to make. With welfare it is a net loss. I rather live in a world with more productive individuals.Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-34709437362453596122007-03-21T15:23:00.000-07:002007-03-21T19:33:29.870-07:00John Milton: Man of geniusRecently I read Paradise Lost, Lycidas, and Samson Agonistes. All fine works that I felt leveled my artistic senses. John Milton writes with such vigor and passion; the imagery is profound and the dialogue is succinct. Here is a brief synopsis of the largest,Paradise Lost

Paradise Lost
This poem is very long.. In fact its a book in itself with 12 chapters. I really got alot of enjoyment from reading the whole thing. The language was from the 17th century so there was some difficulty in reading but never the less I was able to grasp the ideas. The story is about the fall of Satan from heaven, the subsequent fall of man, and the hope for a new future. The book itself is influenced by the stories of the Bible but just adds to the dialogue and imagery without taking anything away from those stories itself. I don't want to necessarily describe every single event, i feel it would be in the best interest of threader to grasp it and take their own conclusion from it. So I implore you to read the poems of John Milton.Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-36192772982518715902007-03-17T18:56:00.000-07:002007-03-17T19:00:17.298-07:00Pixelated DecompositionsIve come across another fantastic art site full of wonder. Is this the way
I must return to native dust? O sight
Of terror, foul and ugly to behold,
Horrid to think, how horrible to feel!'
-Paradise Lost

While reading through Paradise Lost (which I am almost finished with) it shown me the viciousness of life and how humans return to the Earth. Death is never an act devoid of suffering. Suffering comes to the receiver of the sentence and the people around him. I consider this to be the tragedy of life. The tragedy that we were born in suffering and we die with suffering. Though, the universe may be full of this kind of negative march, we can be hopeful that what we do in this life may reflect on what is to become in the afterlife. For with the tragedy of life , there is also the beautiful and sublime of the universe we can look forward too. Let us now build a path of art, life, and spirituality.Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-81602175596837180892007-03-12T16:41:00.000-07:002007-03-12T17:42:54.776-07:00An IntrospectionRecently I've been reading Paradise Lost by John Milton. Considered by many to be one of the greatest epic poems of the western world. Suffice to say I am only 8 chapters into the poem out of 12. The poem, its prose and style, has opened up a path of inner creativity that has raised my intellect. On the other hand, with the opening of the intellectual faculties, there has been great introspection into my soul. It was as if I was able to re account past knowledge I have learned. Such is the power of poetry.Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-13685314944692582922007-03-07T10:11:00.000-08:002007-03-07T10:31:54.264-08:001000 EyesAn interesting article has come about on Truth Out. It's in regards to the Federal government wanting more surveillance on the Internet. One of the concerns according to the justice department is the tracking of suspected criminals. In this regard the justice department is pressing ISPs(Internet Service Providers) to retain data of customer Internet usage. One of the proponents is attorney general Alberto Gonzalez. He points out that data retention should be mandatory, calling it a "national problem that requires federal legislation". I call this another grand scheme by the State.
Whether these proponents of the data retention proposal are genuine about theses concerns is irrelevant to me. The only relevant question is does government have a right to infringe on the private matters of individuals? The answer is a resounding NO. Government doesn't even have a right to exist let alone verge into someone's private world. The natural rights of a non-aggressor should never be violated. If someone were to be a criminal(i.e. stealing, property damage, murder) then the one that was aggressed would demand restitution from the initiator. In this case there was no aggression involved in these government infringements.
The State makes everyone a criminal in this new proposal. Censorship of the web, of the kind seen in China, could possibly linger. With the advancement of interventionist policies such as the "drug war",tariffs, taxes, environmental measuures, the State will assert more control over the populace. Many may look at this as a step closer in the right direction. Now Ill admit, there are criminals that need to give restitution for their actions, but being invasive on the internet will not help the situation. Molesters, thieves, and murderers will always find a way to commit their deeds. The best method to stop these criminals in the first place is personal determent. With the intervention of the State into a person's self defense, such as laws on personal conduct and gun control, an individual is now suspected as a criminal and is defenseless. I do not see how the State can be revered as protector. Then again it never was in the first place.Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-3000230840423817462007-02-28T23:03:00.000-08:002007-02-28T23:41:11.468-08:00Protection: A contemplationI write this article in an attempt to demonstrate the absurdity of protection from the State. Yes, this is a long article, so brew some coffee.

Protection?

People tend to feel content when there is a form of protection guarding them. Protection is the act of X being guarded against outside interference,Y, by means of B. B could be anything in particular. For example, X is a person and is walking down the street; he is confronted by Y who wants to physically harm him. X can use B as his/her form of protection, whether it be a gun, knife, or X's own body, all of that represents B. If a company had commercial property, in their best interest they would have B to guard them. B could be a wall, an alarm system, or even a security guard. All of these measures are to insure the survivability and productiveness of the property. The matter of protection insures the survivability for an individual as well. From antiquity the State has assumed the role of absolute protector over its own dominion. Let me explore my first reason why the State cannot be a rightful protector on economic grounds.

Factors of scarcity

Imagine if the State's aggression, wherever you live, were to be magnified that every facet of industry was completely subordinate. You only have 1 hamburger company, 1 car company, 1 bread company, 1 radio station, etc. Everyone would be in a cohesion of regimentation where the pursuit of goals are marginalized. No one could compete against the monopoly industry. Without this competition there is no assurance of quality and price. A business cannot calculate costs without competition from other businesses because in that scenario the consumers can properly show the level of demand for a given product. With that demand the business can adjust costs and prices. This is the norm in a market economy, when there is competition the prices will go down and the quality will go up.
The State is a monopoly on the use of force and protection. Although in the present age there are many private security companies, the State is overseer over all of them. I know this from personal experience because I am a security guard. The most I do is observe and report. I have no police powers. The State has assumed primary specialist in that field. For that reason, the State has no competition from anyone else from that region. If the notion of competition is universally viable, then the monopoly of the State is inefficient. The possibility of competing companies can bring about more efficiency and less cost. The companies would be subject to the demands of the consumer and for a protection company to assume a State-like role(i.e. murdering, stealing, destruction of a client/non-client property) then they would be subject to the scrutiny of the consumer and fault er like any business would. It doesn't have to be business companies to provide protection. Communities, churches, guilds, organizations of differing degrees can provide that needed service. As long as they're voluntary it is all perfectly fine.

The State as aggressor

The very nature of the State is aggression. Whatever power or wealth it accumulated, it came about through the initiation of violence. In the book, The State, Franz Oppenheimer details how the State was developed through conquest. The initiation of aggression is not grounds for legitimate protection. It is up to the property owner if he/she would like protection or not. If that person wants that protection, then he or she could be able to decide what type of protection they need. Considering that the State forced its will on the populace, it's hard to see how the State could rightfully protect a property owner. A private security company can be hired voluntarily, an alarm system company can be hired voluntarily but the State cannot be done away with voluntarily. It will not allow it. It yearns for power. Is that protection or is that slavery? If 4 men for example were to invade your property and then say you have to be under their "protection" is that really protection? Just think about it.

Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-32321169742968047352007-02-25T23:01:00.000-08:002007-02-25T23:07:29.955-08:00HeliosDragging my body through the thicket
Covered in my blood I follow through
Joy of a closing abolition
I only need to touch the surface
Over the hill I see my end
My goal cries for domination
Personal conscience is deeply suppressed
Only my fortune lies in atonement
A light shineth over my complexion
The torch of the room giveth comfort
I peak towards the image
Meditation passes over my frame
Shouting indiscriminately in the smoke
Lungs filled with sweet intoxication
I walk about across the room
My soul friend envelopes me
The feminine spirit drains my agony
Whispers of love invigorate the senses
Laying on my spine
Blood dripping from my mouth
A descent of light poureth on me
But the torch is no more
I am enlightenedPropagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-76060276654116502392007-02-20T23:54:00.000-08:002007-02-21T00:07:56.056-08:00Heavenly BrushI wrote this poem in the tradition of the Song of Solomon. It is about an issue that has plagued cities in America and has plagued countries. The two countries really feeling the effects are Columbia and Afghanistan. What is the issue? It is the DRUG WAR. Also known as the "war on drugs". It varies depending which stooge is defending the policy.

In the news there was a meeting in Seville, Spain between top Nato military leaders on the talk of squashing the Opium trade in Afghanistan. One of the ways the pentagon will enact such a surge in the Drug War is by sending in William Wood, the overseer of the Drug War in Columbia, to Afghanistan. Well the news article deals further with the inadequacies and the detrimental effects that will be caused by this move, so I will not discuss that further. What I will discuss is my own perspective on the prohibition of contraband.

Well, first off, I live in California. Drugs flow through this State like water. I can easily, just as anyone can, find a local dealer that will provide me with an illegal substance such as marijuana, meth, or other Opiates. For cocaine I would have to venture 40 miles to Hollywood. There just isn't a big supply here. All these local dealers can be akin to other entrepreneurs or business man on the market. They provide a substance that is in demand. But with the advent of the Drug War, it is has skewed how markets would work without the force of law weighing heavily on the drug business.

The sale of drugs in a territory where it is prohibited creates what is known as a "black market". In a black market, the sale of any illegal contraband (contraband can be anything, it doesn't have to necessarily be drugs) will be prone to high prices and battles between the people willing enough to sell these products. Given that there is no protection under law for the sale of contraband, there will be violent action between the various drug cartels. There is no complete code of ethics and with the State collapsing on the market, there is no way to really create various contractual agreements. Wal-mart and Target do not engage in violent interaction, reason being is because the commodities they sell are not illegal, they will lose monetary resources through incessant fighting, and they follow the law of the State. Of course the State doesn't have legitimate law in the first place but with out the State there will arise codes of ethics between businesses just because of the necessity in the market. That I will discuss in the near future.

The moral case against drug use is that everyone is a private property owner. Even if you rent an apartment, your body is still your own private property. Whatever you put in your body, no matter how vile it is, is your own business and no one Else's unless you allow people into your life. The State acts like a nanny and tries to control the way people use there bodies. What shrewed arrogance we are facing! Do not let the State tell you what to do with your life in how you control your own body. Nature doesn't recognize that blatant authority. Now I will diverge and say If a drug user was in another's house and that house owner doesn't want there to be drugs then the drug user has to follow those dictates or leave. Since the government can't legitimately own property, then territorial dictation doesn't work.

For more information here is two outstanding links:
www.attackthesystem.com
www.adventuresinlegalland.com

Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-62864892483228872492007-02-15T19:56:00.001-08:002007-02-15T20:07:24.189-08:00Music of the SpiritInstead of talking about an album specifically, I would like to speak about the band as a whole:Godflesh. I have thus far have only Streetcleaner and hope to get more albums very soon. The music of Godflesh is like an energetic spiral into the nether reaches. It encompasses the whole, and unites the three essences: mind, body, spirit. I've begun to listen to Godflesh since last week. It has been one of the few pieces of music Ive listened to at all this past week. It is that intense. The range and depth of these arguments are a testament to the incoherency of man. Some of these arguments are sophisticated and require further dissection. Some are very lucid and can be countered expediently. However, there are two arguments that are frequented that are so atrocious, one must think there is an increasing intellectual incoherency. Presenting: "If you do not like this country/government then leave" and "This country has more freedoms then any other country, so quit complaining". The approach is not exactly the same with different people but the message is generally the same. It is time to obliterate these fallacies.

Argument #1: If you do not like this country/government then get out.

In this context I use government and country interchangeably because contemporary thought has blurred the distinctions. A government is a group of men exploiting the producers of a given territory; a country is that exploited territory.

For this government to have any validity, there has to be absolute property rights by the government. In order for there to be ownership of a given territory it has to follow 3 criteria: A) Take unused resources and manipulate it by your form so as to extend your presence in the material, B) Have it given to you by a property owner that followed the path of A, or C) If the property was clearly abandoned and there is no arise of any claims. With C though it is a little tricky and there still has to be a demonstration of A. With these protocols, does the State have this criteria for ownership?

None at all. The State, by it's own existence, exploits the wealth of the producers. Whatever monetary resources that was used by the US State in the past to purchase land from other Nation-states, those resources were stolen from the producers. Also in the existence of the State there has been the forceful removal of indigenous people from their private territories. In the context of the present, the argument of exile can only work on legitimate property.

In one example, let us say Ted was invited to John's company party. There are certain rules that the company enforces at all times regardless of how absurd it may be. Ted decided to show up to the party, for whatever reason, wearing a rival company's shirt. At the inception of the arrival a security guard approaches Ted and gives him 2 options: Wear a different shirt or simply leave the premises. The property of that company is legitimate because they followed the economic means to acquiring property. So the rules have the proper authority from the owners themselves. Since the State has never acquired property through these means then they have no authority or property claims in any nation. If someone does not want to be part of the government's domain, that person doesn't have to leave, the government has to.

Argument 2: This country has more freedoms then any other country,
so quit complaining.

This statement attempts to picture the world we live in as perpetual darkness and the Nation State(could be in any country) is a beacon of light. A world ruled by governments could be analogous to perpetual darkness. But as with every color, there too is differing degrees of lightness or darkness with that color. Not every State takes the same approach. Some are very totalitarian while others can be lax on the restrictions. Even though there are varying degrees of exploitation, it is still exploitation none the less and should be done away with.

Two men (another example) are captured by the Syndicate (hypothetical rebel group) and are subsequently tortured for perceived information. One is put in room A and the other in room B. In room A the man is being tortured by the use of slaps and punches. In room B the man is being tortured through the use of whips and wooden poles. Now let it be clear that the man in room B has sustained far greater injuries. One can say that person in room A shouldn't complain because he did not receive the greater punishment that was given in room B. How absurd to formulate such a view! Even though room A did not have the same amount of torture that was given in room B, there shouldn't have been torture in the first place. Two men were wrongfully accused, kidnapped, then tortured against their will. This is the tragedy of the story, this is the tragedy of our times. Coercion/exploitation is not seen one in the same for some reason.

I hope to have shown the ridiculousness of these arguments that are so loudly exclaimed. If you can, use these counter-arguments to whoever Statist you meet.Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-22526563139368415612007-02-09T02:11:00.000-08:002007-02-05T20:50:47.291-08:00Heaven is CrimsonIn my search for some inspirational photography, I picked a name out of a list that seemed peculiar: Red Heaven Studios. Well I do not know much about its goals but the vision is out in the open. A vision of wonder and articulating glimmer. Its pure photography. Highlighting some of the most random or obscure images in life. Pictures of people, pictures of surroundings, it is all here. Now the number of the pics is a bit lacking but it is all made up by the seemingless wonder into the photos. Without further ado, here is the site www.redheavenstudio.comPropagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-27818984981100589652007-02-03T16:22:00.000-08:002007-02-05T20:50:47.325-08:00Cultural Autonomy: A prospect at the futureWell as I was scurrying through the news for an interesting story, I came across a recent outlook in regards to Kosovo. Now if anybody knows about Kosovo there is always association of blood and violence. Well I will agree with that notion. Unfortunately the Western media has at times demonized the Serbians and made the Albanians/Bosnians seem heroic. That is not all fact, both sides have committed conflict and strife. To really look into the reality of the situation one has to know the history of the region. A history rife with past glories, tragic endings, and tension thick enough to be cut with a knife.

The Serbians in the northern enclave and the Albanians in the southern enclave are already talking of separation from one another. The Albanians want all of Kosovo given the majority in the region. Serbia as to would like to recover Kosovo. In the middle ages Kosovo was the cradle of Serbian civilization at the height of its glory. When the Ottomans invaded and won the Battle of Kosovo in 1389 and subsequently took over, it in effect wiped away the Serbian civilization until the independence was regained in 1878. Also there was the effect of unifying all the different cultures together and creating a future instability. After the Bosnian War and the 1999 Kosovo crisis, in which thousands of Albanians were driven out by the Serbs, there have been differentiating views on how to achieve a peace.

Now given that the Serbians dominate Northern Kosovo and the Albanians have control of the other 90 percent, it seems the best solution right now is to allow both territories to break away and go there different directions. In a world full of anguish, territorial disputes, and much conflict, succession seems like the most plausible goal into resolving disputes. In my consideration it is the natural way.

In a hypothetical situation, there is a community of 200 private property owners living conjointly and decide to form a collective will, so to speak. Now over a year some property owners would like to break away from the majority and live by there own rules and regulations. Now given there can be quite a bit of decisiveness and tension, in the end the secession of those individuals is permitting and should go through despite any other views. There is no mystical concept against secession of any sort, in the end it can solve some disputes, and maybe aggravate a few but it is the only way in the end to settle legitimate claims. If the people are forced together under the same banner despite differentiating opinions then it is a recipe for disaster. We can even look to America in the past when Lincoln mercilessly crushed all claims to secession in the Civil War. Now of course there is still a matter at hand of past ownership of certain territories as in the case with the Serbians feeling that Kosovo is essentially Serbian. Not saying that claim is invalid but in the present situation, given that many lines have been blurred through past Ottoman domination, the territory occupied predominantly by the Serbs should go to the Serbs and the rest should go to the Albanians. Whatever disputes albeit religious, ideological, or materialistic should be handled between the Serbs and the Albanians. Even though its not as clear cut a situation as it could be, it is the most fluid one at the moment. That goes for any other nationalist, secessionist, ideological, religious, or any other kind of territorial disputes.Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-44297043218985152142007-01-30T16:57:00.000-08:002007-01-30T17:31:23.418-08:00Nasum: A journey in the mindSeeing from this post you might be like...huh? Nasum is a grindcore band from Sweden. Although they're not together do to the tragic death of Mieszko Talarczyk, their stunning music will live on in infinitum. I brought up Nasum because today I was fortunate to get Human 2.0 added to my Nasum collection; I have Grind Finali and Shift as well. There is many sort of styles of grindcore and how the energy is inputed into the listener. The way Nasum plays the style of grind is akin to a chainsaw cutting sheet metal. Now that may sound atrocious but bear in mind thats an analogy. The vocals are smooth, yet still hold to the guttural sound. The drums are arguably some of the fastest around, blastbeats and fast tempos abound. The guitars are very precise and has the straight ahead sound that fits well with the music. The bass is not too low and not too high but in a nice mid range. Overall the nasum experience is worht while. Albeit their earlier recordings were played in a different grind style, none the less Nasum has a sound to be reckoned with. I urge you to check out the website and any recordings you can get.Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-5367918665521659732007-01-27T16:51:00.000-08:002007-01-27T18:24:22.698-08:00State Juristiction: A commentaryWell is seems there has been quite a clamor for Ed Brown. Let me just say right now I support Ed Brown 100 percent in this ordeal. This matter, I believe, will create a catalyst for discussion and introspection. According to the sources, Mr. brown and his spouse Elaine haven't paid income taxes since 1996. They wholeheartedly believe the Feds do not have jurisdiction in their state or property. Well, they are correct.

All across the nation men/women like Ed Brown are becoming active in militia groups in response to the growing menace of Leviathan. It seems there is growing consensus, among these groups that the Federal government has no power over them or the constitution needs to be upheld to its original intent. Ed brown himself is a spokesman for the Constitution Defense Militia. The militias are fighting for individual liberty, property rights, states rights, and the constitution. In my belief all these beliefs are noble and I only can place doubt on one of them.

The Constitution is a document authorized by the Constitutional Convention of 1787 and its purpose was to be the extent of the powers of the Federal government. There was arguing on all sides of the issue and there was a compromise reached between the Federalists and the anti-Federalists. The first authorized document was the Articles of Confederation, it wasn't very popular and that's why there was a meeting to discuss a new document of power.Originally the anti-Federalists felt that having a strong central government was a detriment to liberty and in the ensuing compromise a Bill of Rights was introduced.

Now lets put it in a new perspective. A group of elite men were gathered to decide the fate of a country and its people from the inception of that meeting. If anyone has ever had a business meeting or even a community meeting, this can be brought into a reasonable comparison. Now with a business, the meeting involves the ideas, perspectives, and analysis within that particular organization. That business can only control matters with in its own organization and has no say in regards to what John Doe and his family are doing. In a communitarian aspect, the local group of what ever proportionate size decides the outcome and dictates within their own organization and cannot dictate the ideas and thoughts over to a section of New Delhi, India. So is it possible for a group of affluent landowners to decide the outcome of around 3 million people at the time and to this day 300 million people? Was everyone in the country asked to give consent. The answer is NO. Government doesn't act direct permission in contrast to any other organization.

Now let me be clear from the onset, many of the ideas expressed in the constitution are ideals i feel is necessary for establishing harmony on Earth. Then on the other hand the Constitution speaks of ideas that are in a sense detrimental to the "natural order". Its sort of like how Bruce Lee viewed the martial arts world, pick the the things that work and trash the others that don't. That's how I approach the constitution. In fact, all the Constitution is is just a piece of paper. It can't hold back the tide of Statist power; it doesn't even have real authority. So if the Federal government is the logical outcome of the Constitution, then the logical conclusion is that the Federal government has no real authority. In fact no government, great or small, has any real authority. Its animation, like Mickey Mouse.

Real authority is established through property rights. Even then its in a sense a voluntary endeavor. I have a friend named Michael , we have a lot of disagreement in many respects. Now considering all these different ideas, one thing that is a surety among us is property. In his house he decides the rules of conduct and what is permitted and what is not. So in essence I'm under his jurisdiction, it wasn't forced but I walked into the house and agreed to the general outlines. Now he is not a hard ass by any stretch of the imagination but of course he doesn't want me to trash his abode. This is the way true jurisdiction works. Based on property rights. It would make no sense for a a million men in Turkey to decide the outcome of a farm in Kansas. Or even for a city or town next door to decide the fate of an individual farm.

My basic outline is this, jurisdiction of any sort can only come through A) Voluntary consensus(leave freely or enter freely) and/or B) Property Rights. The State has never in any sense had true jurisdiction over anyone any time or place. One of my inspirations for this article was from Lysander Spooner who wrote No Treason. In it he outlines how the State never had any real authority in the first place. It was people like him and later Ed Brown to really put a dent in the armor of legitimization that the State has brought about. Although with many disagreements Ive had with the militia I feel they are on the right page and I will support them 100 percent. Now its up to all of you to unveil the mask and relinquish your liberty.

For more on property rights read Hans Herman Hoppe. Well about 27 hours ago, my friend Tristan and I went to see Children of Men. We were bored at his house and decided to stroll to the theatre. So we pay at 9:45 pm, sneak in popcorn, and sit down for the view.

Instead of a chronological analysis, I opt for a sort of "big picture" analysis. The main character is Theo Faron(Clyde Owen). The setting is London, 2027. Its a world where every female is void of fertility. No one knows why. There is no explanation as to why procreation is impossible. The audience and the characters in the story are perplexed. The world is a disaster, save a few countries and noticeably Britain, and immigrants from all nations are clamoring to be in Britain but are summarily deported, confined, or executed. The State is supreme and imposes its will similar to that of George Orwell's States in the book 1984 A very, very grim reality. A world where death, tragedy, and dispair are the norm.

So there is a fringe group in the movie known as the Fishers. Led by Julian Taylor(Julianne Moore),a woman with a past history with Theo. He is brought in an operation because of his links with key figures in the British government. Well tragic events happen and he is forced to run away with Kee(Claire-Hope Ashitey) because she is the only pregnant woman on earth. Subsequently, the baby is born and they're in a struggle to reach the Azores Islands where there is a project to save the future of mankind. The ending provides clues she did make the but it never shows the arrival on the island.

Well I found this film confusing at times but also enlightening. Now in regards to the structure of the film, the acting was crisp, the cinematography was fresh, and the plot went smoothly. My qualms though were the explanations. Like there is never an explanation of infertility, the backgrounds of the characters, or even the chain of events leading to the nightmarish world.
The way the bureaucracy exploited the citizenry and committed atrocities to foreigners was horrendous. I look at that part is a foreshadow of the future, the police state and all. I don't see infertility becoming the norm though. The story in this respect provides a social outlook at what is in the realm of possibility.

I see movies like this as of a higher calling to show the audiences as to what the world can be unless changed. All around you can see people rising up in upheaval, most noticeably in the concentration camp known as Bexhill. Everywhere there is some sort of insurrectionary practice, whether fighting the State with physical force or even minute as growing Marijuana, as in the case of Theo's friend Jasper Palmer(Michael Caine). Of course this wasn't the direction of the movie, the direction was toward a journey to reviving fertility so humanity can live. With eyewitness of the new born child the masses are swayed and given hope. I believe that was another subject that the director was trying to convey, that something so inspirational and full of grace can provide a renewed sense in the worth of the populace.

Overall I recommend seeing the movie and taking in the whole outlook and not just the story line. With the a few of the holes displayed in the movie, the overwhelming brilliance of the movie lies in the triumph of hope and the possible rise of liberty.Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-85726029156369049632007-01-25T22:16:00.000-08:002007-01-25T22:59:47.889-08:00Intellectual property: A conundrumSo now here we are in the information age where information travels with great precision. In these times the various States have established legislation to quell "intellectual theft" (my words). I bring this up in regards to to a news article in regards to a subpoena brought against YouTube by Fox. According to the story, Fox media has demanded You tube to reveal the identity of "ECOtotal". Apparently, this user showed episodes of 24 before the scheduled premiere on January 14 on YouTube.

Now looking at the case I have a conflicting view on the case itself and not on the whole quandary of intellectual property. Now if it is an absolute fact that this user was able to confiscate episodes of 24 before airing, then I have to concede to the side of FOX. Reason being, the person took the video before it would have been aired to all of the TV audiences. Im under the impression that FOX had the video under safe keeping.

Now if it was shown onYouTube after the episode was aired, then I have to be on the side of the user ECOtotal. Intellectual property is a very touchy subject. Ill say this, intellectual property is a mundane term with no real substance. Property itself is an extension of a person on to anything that was A) Formed and manipulated from unused matter, B) Contractually given by someone down the line that followed A), and/0r C) A once used item that has been clearly abandoned. Ill digress and say that C can be very tricky to pinpoint, unless under objective circumstances. That will be another topic for discussion.

When you form sounds or vision, you in a sense release your property on anyone that takes it in mentally. Now one can argue that words, sounds, or vision is the product of labor and should not be taken by anyone, but when you openly state them in time, presence, motion, all those variables, you are letting everyone get a sense of your product. Since it can be processed naturally through the senses, then it becomes everyones property. A person can get a glance at a house but cannot objectively claim the house as its own. Someone can look at a computer but it doesn't mean its there property. When I buy a book, lets say from Stephen King, that book is contractually mine and the words are at my disposal.

For more on that here is a good link to learn from.

By the way, use any of my texts and writing in any way you see fashionable. That's what its here for anyways.Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-23466065426820147032007-01-23T18:39:00.000-08:002007-01-23T19:29:20.536-08:00Artist of our time: Domen LombergarWell it seems to me that alot of facets our time are lacking any creative direction. That's why there are artists in the world to show the masses what to look for in inspiration. Its done really well and in an inexorable fashion.

One of these artists that seem to spearhead the creative outlook is Domen Lombarger. A Slovenian that seems to have a knack for energy, exuberance, and an entrepreneurial spirit. He has had exhibitions for his artwork, does photography, and of course, the computer is his canvas where he manipulates perception into his vision. His artwork is a journey you take along with him into his visions, dreams, and nightmares. His considers himself a Surrealist artist so he has no barriers or limits; his mind is liberated thus. My favorite section is the Fantasy artwork. In here his manipulations are an ascension of the spirit. A particular piece I like is known as "The Inalienable Human Condition". It is so chaotic and full of life.

Well for everyone, Domen is an artist that you have to look into. I think you will understand as I did.
www.lombergar.comPropagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-37666181577692450442007-01-23T18:00:00.000-08:002007-01-23T18:37:07.811-08:00Creative AnalysisI was curious to see a site that had extraordinary artwork. So I came upon this site. Let me say first off that I am a big fan of artwork whether it can perceived through the eyes, ears, nose, or even the touch. As in the case of visual perception I am drawn to Surreal artwork and anything with a "dark" aesthetic.

So here I came upon this site called Creative Emotion and I was stunned to find how magnificent the work is. It is ran by an artist named "Lisa" and it showcases her photography, both analog and digital creations. Her photography is mainly picturesque frames of her surroundings with occasional pieces that involve fake blood. I was really turned on to her digital representations. These pieces bring in many ravishing elements; the pictures seem to take on fragmented emotions as if it were telling a story.

I recommend looking in this site and if all possible to buy here pieces. Or just take in the imagery and immerse yourselves.Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-24453051808525855422007-01-22T14:56:00.000-08:002007-01-22T15:42:34.178-08:00Barbarian OverloadIn a recent news story, the Mexican state has begun to impose a military style sweeping along its frontiers to combat "drug trafficking". The Mexican president, Felipe Calderan, has vowed to stop the carnage of drug related crimes. The U.S government is backing this endeavor fully and already 4 drug warlords have been extradited to the U.S. John Walters, White house anti-drug CZAR, stated,"Yes, there is some violence that is part of the process of taking these violent mafias to justice".

Wait..did I just hear CZAR Walters say they want to take violent mafias to to justice? Irony. The government runs on a model similar to the mafia. Extortion, threats, trafficking, all that good stuff.

You see this "drug war" is a tool for unhampered State power. It allows States to run military, authoritative directives on the people. They outlaw the use of drugs which allows the sleazy, ruthless, and malicious people to be involved in the drug trade and since their is no formal agreements or contracts they use violence and other acts to solve disputes. Think back to the 1930's when prohibition was the rule of law. So what happened? You had guys like Al Capone running a large style operation of prostitution and alcohol. When outlawing any sort of commodity it creates an artificial black market. Prices go up, quality goes down; it gives a few people, the people willing enough to take part in this black market, a monopoly.

Madness shall end but it must end with the onset of reason. The "drug war" is the antithesis to reason. For more on this lunacy go here, here, and here.Propagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-79604112863926336342007-01-20T14:28:00.000-08:002007-01-20T15:09:12.515-08:00REVIEW:Electric Wizard-DopethroneWell there is few albums out there that can be considered as something keenly magical. When you listen to Electric Wizard-Dopethrone, you get this aura of magical delicacies all around you.

Hailing from England, the band goes forth to prove they are the "heaviest band in the world". Such a phrase they actually backup in Dopethrone. The first song you hear when listening is Vinum Sabbathi and has quite a parallel to early Black Sabbath. The second song Funerapolis starts out very slow, minimalistic; it builds up towards the end where you hear groovy riffs, enough to make you sway your head. When Weird Tales comes your way you get the stonerness getting right in your face. Very groovy and upbeat. Barbarian has that same effect on the mind but with a slightly down tempo pace. I, the Witchfinder is interesting because its so dark and has elements of Funeral doom in it. What I like about the structure is it has an atmospheric tone with hints of ambient at times. The Hills have Eyes! Just a movie and a nice little instrumentation. We hate You is something epic.Epic? Yes epic...and how. His vocals match very well with the strength of the song. Finally you get Dopethrone. What a song to end on. In essence its like the entirety of the album which it shares its name. It combines all the different deviations of the songs.

So in the end Dopethrone is an album to reckon with. Not for the faint of heart, or the impatient. This is an album for inspiration.
Here is some sites of interest:

http://www.doom-metal.com/faq.html
www.myspace.com/electricwizarddorsetdoomPropagaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04945425218082145678noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441780972599212471.post-81418228604716745472007-01-20T14:13:00.000-08:002007-01-20T14:21:15.792-08:00Priestess of Demise Part 2Last night, during my security post, I entertained the thought of writing part 2 of P of D.
